DSSC coaches have selected specific meets throughout the season as culminating events for their athletes. Training loads, technical changes and resting are all based upon when these meets fall in the calendar year. FastSwim Invitational was one of those meets where the swimmers were expected to be sharp in their performances; they did not disappoint.
Following this high point in the season the kids and staff are taking a week off from training. This will give athletes a chance to reset their minds, and get to participate in some other activities during the holiday break.
DSSC will be back in the water on December 27th. For more information on the Delta Sungod Swim Club’s programs click on www.teamsungod.ca or call 604-345-5912. The club has on-going registration throughout the year and it is never to late to take up the sport of competitive swimming.
