Soroke Shows Well at BC Winter Provincial Championships

March 9, 2023

BC Winter Swimming Provincial Championships was fast!  The meet, held in Victoria’s Saanich Commonwealth Pool brought together the fastest 500 swimmers in the entire province.  The Delta Sungod Swim Club sent 7 athletes to represent the team and they all swam well.

For DSSC’s Rebecca Soroke, this was a standout meet.  A gold medal in the 50 fly, top 8 finishes in the 50 free, and 100 fly, as well as some new qualifying standards just made the meet a little more memorable for her.

Congratulations to Delta’s Provincial team:  Kayah Apanowicz (16), Chloe Meredith Jensen (17), Gurshaan Sangha (14), Rebecca Soroke (14), Daniel Wang (15), Gabrielle Wang (12), and Max Zha (15).
