September Swimmer of the Month

October 11, 2023

Congratulations to all our swimmers and families on a success first month of the 2023-2024 season!

As a club it is so important to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our athletes throughout the season. One way we do this is by recognizing a swimmer of the month from our groups. A swimmer of the month is an athlete who has displayed a stand out moment or moments throughout the month that their coach wants to recognize. This could be an outstanding swim at a meet, amazing work ethic in practice, 100% attendance, being a supportive teammate and so many more things.

The coaches are excited to announce.....

Swimmer of the month for SEPTEMBER

Learn to compete: Serena Li

This month the learn to compete group was learning how to move in a lane, read a pace clock and learned so many skills about being a swimmer! Serena has been leading her lane during practice and been focused on leaving on the right time with the correct technique, lots of streamline pushoffs in LTC this month! It's been great to see Serena be a lane leader and learn how to read the clock in practice!

Novice: Alayna Dhesi

Alayna is Septembers swimmer of the month for going beyond the basic requirements of practices and putting effort into everything she does!

Regional: Nivil Ponnanna

Nivil has earned this months award for always looking and asking for ways to improve on technique during practice.

Junior Blue & White: Emma Zhang

For the month of September Junior group swimmers were challenged on their abilities to Listen to instructions, Think about what they were asked to do, and then Do the tasks with honest effort.  For some swimmers, coming off a two month break, or for others, having never been exposed to this type of expectation was extremely challenging.  This month's Swimmer of the Month for both Junior: White and Blue showed us that this can be a habit that can be improved on each day.   Congratulations to Emma Zhang on her abilities to Listen, Think and Do with honesty.  These skills allow her to be a leader in her group and push herself towards her goals independently.  Great work, Emma!

Senior White: Jimmy Liu

Congratulations to Jimmy for receiving our first swimmer of the month in the senior white group. He has shown hard work and focus during each practice. It is great to see his willingness to improve and develop his strokes. Keep up the great work!

Senior Blue & Gold: Noelle Evans

Noelle has displayed an impressive effort to the start of her season despite being sick for the past few days. Great job, Noelle!
