November Swimmer of the month

December 8, 2023

And just like that November is complete! This month included a fun meet, and the Hyack LMR. We saw lots of long standing club records broken including a 30 year old record! There were so many stand out moments from our team this month. We're getting stronger both individually and as a whole club! It's a proud moment for the coaching staff to see your hard work coming together!

The coaches are excited to announce.....

Swimmer of the month for November

Learn to compete: Ishi Haldar

It's been an exciting beginning of the season for Ishi. New to the club she has jumped right in and been very excited to train and race. We are so impressed with her work ethic and continued progress so quickly into becoming a swimmer. Great job, Ishi!

Novice: Rachel Liu

During our November Fun meet Rachel was able to get her LMR qualifying time in the 200m IM. This came along with a huge drop in time of 18 seconds!

Regional: Luke Williston

Luke has really stepped up with his effort in practice and it is starting to show. He managed a huge best time in the 200m IM during the Fun meet. The LMR qualifying time is just within reach now for Luke!

Junior Blue & White: Tiger Du

This months’ swimmer of the month goes to Tiger Du.  Over the last 30 days the groups and their coaches have talked about the idea of accountability.  To whom, is the group accountable for their work, and practice behaviours?  Tiger has done a great job of working hard, leading by example and doing the things that his group, his team and his coaches need to do to be successful both in the pool and out.  Tiger has quite a demanding schedule and he makes sure that his tasks get done well, and he maintains great humour and personality while doing it.  Congratulations from your coaching staff and group for all your hard work.

Senior White: Puneet Khaira

Amazing work this past month, Puneet. Her eagerness and willingness to work hard has reflected in all her strokes. She never complains and always gives it her all. Even with a busy schedule she makes time for swim practice with great attitude. Keep it up and can’t wait to see you at a meet!

Senior Blue & Gold: Jannat Bhangu

For her relentless efforts to recover from her injury in the past months. She refuses to let any setback get in her way on her road to recovery.
