Many New Personal Bests at Spartan LMR

The Delta Sungod Swim Club, made a splash at the 2023 Spartan Santa LMR held from December 9-10 at the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre. The goal of the weekend’s meet was to showcase the finished work done by the swimmers this training cycle.

Swimmers’ work in 12-16 week cycles with each training cycle having a peak meet. The Spartan LMR was that meet. Swimmers showcased some great skills in their racing, and some grit during the final stages of their races.

Congratulations to swimmers who achieved 100% personal best times throughout the whole weekend with no disqualifications. Colbie Deeg (12), Caiden Fawcett (12), Ben Gangoso (11), Arwin Khangura (11), Oliver Lee (11), Rachel Liu (9) and Kairae Wang (11).

Delta swimmers will be taking December 23 through January 1^st off for a well-deserved break. Training will resume on January 2^nd when they will start the second training cycle of the season with peak meets at Westerrns, Provincials and Trials.
