February Fun Meet Results and Thank You's

What a great morning of racing at Sungod Recreation Centre!  The club's 7am swim meet was a huge success and the coaching staff was so happy to see the 105 swimmers that came out to this morning's meet.

We had a huge number of personal bests, and some very brave 10 & Under swimmers who showcased all their latest and greatest skills in the pool.  The Head Coach was extremely impressed with the Learn to Compete groups' dives and streamlines.  

The club had 2 new LMR qualifiers.  Luke Williston (14) and Theo Wong (10) who were below the 4:00.00 200 IM cutoff.  This time allows them to venture out and swim meets within the Lower Mainland Region against all the other clubs!

Courtesy Scratches

If your child has been signed up for a meet and they cannot attend, please email your coach or the Head Coach as early as possible in order for your kid to get scratched out.  For every 8 swimmers that are scratched out prior to us organizing the meet in the morning, we save 10 minutes!

Thank you so much to all the parents that came out to help officiate, time or put snacks together.  It takes a whole community to run our swim meets and we are so grateful for your help.   We are still looking for a few timers for our March LMR meet on March 16-17 weekend.  We are hosting almost 500 swimmers from around the LMR so your help would be amazing.  You can sign up via the job signup page here.

And finally, remember there is no swimming on Monday, February 19th because people are a) needing a break from the Head Coach, or b) it's Family Day.
