Exciting races at the second pass & mini meet of the season

It was another successful weekend of meets for Team Sungod on December 2nd & 3rd at watermania pool. The teams second mini meet and pass meet of the season saw 21 swimmers from the novice and learn to compete blue and white groups compete in the two meets.

On Dec 2nd we gathered to race at the mini meet. Each athlete from our club and two others clubs raced three individual races in two hours. Swimmers at the meet are put into different levels depending on their current level of swimming. Our team had athletes race in level 1; 25m freestyle, 25m Dolphin kick, 25m Backstroke kick. Level 2; 50m Backstroke, 50m breaststroke, 50m Freestyle.

On Dec 3rd we were back at watermania for Pass meet #2. Our team raced a quick 3 races in an hour.

Swimmers attending pass meets are split into 2 levels depending on their current swimming level. level 1 racing the 100 IM, 50 butterfly, 50 backstroke and 100 free. Once a time of 2:10 or faster in the 100 IM and 1:50 or faster in the 100 free they move into level 2. Level 2 swimmers swim the 200 IM, 50 butterfly, 50 backstroke and 200 free and once they have achieved the 200 IM in 4:00 or less they graduate onto LMR meets. At the meet on December second the 50 Breaststroke, 50 Freestyle and the IM were the main events for team sungod.
