DELTA - December Fun Meet

It was a great morning of  swimming at our Delta December Fun Meet.  We had 87 swimmers attend!  Over the past two Fun Meets we've swam all 4 50m events plus the 100 or 200 IM.  This is a great start for our youngest swimmers!  It shows how well rounded our Learn to Compete athletes are, and that they are willing to venture outside of their comfort zones and race.

Congratulations to our 3 new LMR qualifiers in the 200 IM.  Lea Jizeal Ghanem, Ganeev Purba and Colbie Deeg all swam their 200 IMs in under 4:00.00.  This is the first standard of swimming that someome must achieve in their development pathway.  It was a good looking swim from all three girls.

Emma Zhang broke her own club record in the Girls 10 & Under 100 IM.  Congratulations Emma.  

Finally, a great big thank you to all the parents who helped up with timing, officiating and organizing snacks.  We appreciate your help and we cannot host these events without you.  The swimmers and coaches are grateful for the support.

Our next few weeks are busy, busy with athletes at our Delta hosted Distance LMR meet, a meet in Chiliwack the following weekend and Richmond's FastSwim Invitational the weekend after.  

Once all those meets are over we are taking a week off.  There will be no practices December 19 to December 26th with practices resuming on December 27th as per usual.
